The Weekend in Black and White

I usually forgo my morning walk over the
Brooklyn Bridge when the temps
dip down to the low 20s F (with wind chills
in the teens), but I did walk this
week—and it wasn't so bad, especially
with that bright sun shining down.

  1. She is really showing off her Gothic influences. Like a refulgent stained-glass cathedral window.

Not too many bicycle riders this week I’ll warrant.

As long as you are provisioned with wooly gloves and hat and the like, in spite of the freezing weather, I can think of worse commutes. In fact, coming back from a relaxing weekend trip to one of Tokyo’s (seven) islands, I opted to walk five hours home from the landing pier rather than endure this. But Tokyo isn’t the only culprit.

  6. Beautiful shot; I really like how much atmosphere is carried in the one picture. A daily walk on the Brooklyn Bridge sounds like a great start to the day.
